A couple of months back my friend Sara posted about Muxtape, an online service that let’s you make your own mix tape online. All you need to do is upload the mp3 and they create a playlist for you. The playlist is real and anyone who visits your muxtape can listen to it.
You can view and listen to my muxtape here. For those of you too lazy to follow that link, here’s the contents of my playlist:
- Disturbed – Inside The Fire
- Against Me! – Thrash Unreal
- Chevelle – I Get it
- Red – Let Go
- Spoon – Don’t You Evah
- Rogue Wave – Lake Michigan
- Ashes Divide – The Stone
- Vampire Weekend – A-Punk
- Shiny Toy Guns – Rainy Monday
- The Bravery – Believe
- Fair to Midland – Dance of the Manatee
So go make your own muxtape and post it/them here!
I miss mixtapes. I have so many, but no where to play them. Some are recordings of concerts and shows I went to. Do you know of any kind of service that takes tapes and converts them to digital media?
I don’t know of any probably because the quality would be so poor people probably figure it’s just better to remake the tape from a CD or MP3. But I could be wrong. It’s happened before.
Definitely a cool site. Sometimes I just go to the front page and randomly click on people’s tapes and find some interesting things that way.
